Inspired by @aristemo-love ‘s post, I wanna share how important Temo is to me and how much I have related to him because even tho I’m not exactly like him... I’ve connected so so much to this amazing character by an amazing actor whomst I adore 😂
Like Temo, I’ve known/questioned me sexuality since a fairly young age I think he was like 11 (I swear it’s said somewhere) and I was like 12 or 13, but I have only been out to close friends I truly trust and have had periods of questioning it all but also KNOWING that I am not 100% straight and everything (it differs on the fact that he is gay and I’m Pan but... still similar in a way). I also relate to his whole “love at first sight” trope stuff. To quote Ari, I also “don’t play games with love” like I don’t throw away that word in a relationship *has only been in two 😂* bUT everywhere I go I am like “holy shit this person is cute” and have a thing of basically almost always liking someone (so much so that it makes me question if I do like them or not but... that’s a whole story on its own😂) and the having the strong feelings and everything. As well as... I have been in a situation like he was where I liked someone and they kept saying “I don’t know” and I now GET his frustration of not knowing how the other person feels like it eats at you and I can only imagine how he make have felt being IN LOVE and having the other person just keep saying “I don’t know I don’t know” and trying to read the signs. I also just relate to his general character of how he’s more sentimental and anxious (when I started watching it I headcanoned him with having anxiety cause he seemed to be always fidgeting with something which: ME) and his romanticizeness and wanting to be enough and having doubts about things and myself but also wanting to make a change in the world and although I’m not as “academic” as he is (like... I’m an actor I relate to Ari in the arts stuff (I highly relate to Ari too this is just a Temo post okay lol)) but I’m VERY passionate about certain topics especially ones including the community and those moments I just have related to. Seeing myself in a character truly is amazing and I LOVE Ari and I truly do not have a favorite of the two bUT I do relate a whole bunch to Temo and I just love it so so much.
The facts that Aristemo connects with and touches so many lives and that people can see themselves in them is AMAZING and is truly wonderful. I can only hope their story will continue to inspire and touch others and more and more over the years!!
