βI donβt need your help.β She huffs, pouting in obvious frustration as soft emerald irises continue to scan back and forth over the piles of curriculum sitting upon her desk. βYou approves me going through with this, and thatβs all I need. This was my idea and you have enough on your plate already.β Chewing anxiously on the end of her quill, she sputters at the unpleasant taste before gently setting it aside. βEverything is ready to go I guess Iβm just a little... nervous.β
Help had not really been what Claude was offering. A drink, now that is what the man had to give Annette. His wife had been at her desk for almost the entire day, putting the finishing touches on her plans. Plans for the new school she was about to open up.
βI can tell. You didnβt even give me a chance to say that I brought you a drink before accusing me of trying to help. Donβt you trust me to keep my promise?β His promise to not help her with the sorcery school beyond giving it his seal of approval to be opened. She had begged him to not do more than that.Β
Which he did agree to. But bringing his wife some drinks is not really helping with the school. Just helping her in general.Β βCome on, drink up.β
