  she keeps the tv within view, she knows already what the coverage will be ( activist back from the dead !? dinosaurs escaped ?! ) and she keeps a wary eye on the screen before turning back to the novel in front of her. Karen had suggested staying distracted, her therapist had suggested something more occupational ( she had actually wrote her a referral to a psychiatrist that specialized in trauma and she’s left the number on her fridge ). Her mug has been abandoned, as her attempt at attention to the novel. Claire’s used to being seen, it doesn’t mean it surprises her any less. It doesn’t mean that the sudden presence of another doesn’t make her jump.
