hello! just wanted to say that i've been reading your a/b/o stories, and i really enjoy the way you write people?? like they feel so much like people it hurts sometimes. however, i did have some lore questions, and i apologize if you'd answered them before and i wasn't paying attention! first of all: (1) what's a corrupted heat in this universe? (2) is a more progressive view of omegas confined solely to academics? how does the average person conceive of them?

These are things I don't really need to answer because both are actually in the stories. :D
(1) what's a corrupted heat in this universe?
You might want to read Underline the Gold because Flitmouse literally has not one, but two corrupted heats, and you can see it's description (and Temsen naming it a corrupted heat) within that story!
Not only that, but corrupted heats are referred to and sometimes described 11 times in Underline the Black. (Because Efnisien has one!) They're also
(2) is a more progressive view of omegas confined solely to academics? how does the average person conceive of them?
You can see the answer to this if you read Underline the Gold and Underline the Blue. Underline the Gold in particular features multiple responses to Flitmouse in particular, up into the last few chapters, which shows that progressive views of omegas are pretty rare (the restaurateur who treats him like a child, the betas they pass on the street who call them beasts). Underline the Gold also has Flitmouse thinking quite often about how it is being a business owner and omega, which is relevant to this too.
Likewise, Underline the Blue demonstrates that some of the folks living around Hillview are more progressive because Hillview is so close by. But Nate's beta parents are considered pretty normal and the story points out many, many times that actually, they are not really progressive at all, despite that normalcy, which indicates progressive views are not normal (after all, if normal beta parents act like Nate's parents, and that's not progressive, then this means normal beta folks are not generally progressive).
You might just have to wait until you get to those stories to see the answers! They do get explained. :D
