“you might be on to something.” however, sadly for nico the only curse she was the victim of was a jealous best friend. it might’ve been easier for arden just to not offer to set her up but she felt like she had a little more control over the situation by somehow making everyone nico could be involved with an awful option. “maybe… but i mean, it can’t all be bad, right?”

arden does have the decency to drop down from her toes so she's flat on her feet, no longer pressing herself over the countertop and therefore allowing the hem of her shirt to provide a little more coverage. she can't help but laugh. wasn't expecting sade to stumble over her words like this since she'd only been teasing. "who says you have to ignore me?" she turns on her heel so that she can actually lock eyes with her instead of peering at her through the mirror. "though, i'm not sure how i'm making it difficult..."

"wow... would you look at that..." forgive the bored tone to arden's voice but considering she hand picked the piece, she doesn't really have much energy to be enthusiastic about it. it's the kind of thing that she managed to pull off the first few times but now it was getting old. "you get that for any specific occasion or just because you're both so in love?"

"hello!" after a morning of running around checking out of the hotel and repacking everything she'd brought with her, arden feels very ready to have somewhere more settled to stay for the next little while. she doesn't want to impose on sunny too much and will do her best not to do that. that's exactly why she's taken a relax start to her day so that she doesn't turn up at the office space too early; hopefully having given her friend long enough to wrap up for the work day. "how are you doing?"

“can i stay on your couch? just for one night! maybe two… i swear, i’ll be out of your hair by thursday.” speaking of hair, her fingers comb through her own in a habit she doesn't even really realise that she apparently has when she's lying. “i’m just waiting on some money coming through from a sponsorship, but it’s happening!”

"listen, you’re really nice, but i don’t think this is going to work," arden gives a small shrug of her shoulders and what is supposed to be a pleasant smile. instead it ends up being more of a grimace. "i don't want to give you the whole it's not you, it's me speech but... you know, maybe that's just what it is."

"they're just a little touchy-feely — and you're supposed to be mine. do i have to remind people?"
