Loki clenched his fists. He wasn’t good at this being a brother thing, hadn’t been for a long time. Thor brushing things off was quite normal, but what Loki had said was not. It took effort not to lash out or make some other kind of scene.

And underneath it all, he knew it was his fault. Still being alive was wrong, but making a decision not to be was also wrong. The path to reconciliation was going to be hard, if not impossible. Loki did not excel in pushing through emotional pain.

A part of him had known that seeing his brother again would be nothing but trouble. The big oaf had always made a point on interrupting or even destroying the plans he'd laid down for his victory. And it seemed like he was determined to do the same thing. Of course, he was starting to get a better picture of the Loki that Thor knew.
