Arcticodactylus is a pterosaur known from the Fleming Fjord Formation of Greenland, living sometime between 208 and 201 million years ago, in the Norian to Rhaetian ages of the Late Triassic. It is known from a partial specimen, and it is the smallest known pterosaur, with a wingspan of 24 centimeters. However, it was probably not fully grown, though it wasn’t a hatchling. It used to be thought to be of the same genus as Eudimorphodon, but was split out due to differences in the length and morphology in its skeleton, and it also doesn’t have fang-like teeth similar to Eudimorphodon. It also had a weird wing articulation, though whether or not that is significant is fairly speculative. It also had a long tail and was closely related to Eudimorphodon, despite speculation that it may retain some early, transitional pterosauromorph traits.
