✿ He’d been terrified when he’d been captured. He’d tried to lure the men so he could eat. He wasn’t even sure how long it had been, but the man that had taken him was deaf. The humans had learned from their old tales it seemed. He’d been brought to an enclosure. Some sort of... exhibit. So far as he could tell. And he couldn’t help but to feel alien in the area.

✿ He’d tried swimming around and finding his way out, but there was nothing. Nothing at all. No way out. He tried to sing to draw attention to trick someone into opening the gate for him, but there was no one coming. Sitting curled on a rock, his tail wrapped around himself and his ear fins pinned down. He was scared and alone, his only solace coming from singing softly to himself.

✿ Hearing movement he looked up, eyes narrowed and prepared for some kind of fight. “Who’s there? Show yourself!”

✿ He let out a soft laugh and moved over to the other, moving quickly to fix the few tings that were out of place. “You did well on your own.” He traced his fingers down his arm and let out a soft sigh. “I mean it though. You look very cute, Jaune. It’s... Interesting to see you in my traditional clothing.” He laced their fingers together and kept the touch softly to help him relax.

✿ He laughed softly and flushed a little when the other took his hands. Smiling at him he moved a little closer, leaning up to kiss at his lips lightly. No one else was around. He knew that this much would be fine. He loved being able to drown the other in affection when he could, really. Most would think it strange coming from him. But he’d been drawn to his leader for so long that now... Loving him felt like breathing. He smiled and nuzzled against his nose with a quiet hum. “I’m looking forward to it too. Looking forward to... Spending my days with you in, mm, a house maybe? Somewhere... Quiet. And safe.”

“Yeah?” Well, that came out of nowhere. Cardin had kinda assumed Jaune would rather avoid him, not that he cared or anything. Staring at the other student, the brute gave him a confused look, with something that resembled a mix between a grimace and a smirk. He didn’t have the heart to tell the blonde that he was only making this more awkward by acting awkward. Was he actually trying to be sappy or was he trying to mess with Cardin? “Inspiration, huh? In what way?”

Was it the armor? Cardin wouldn’t blame him. The armor was one of the things that Cardin took pride in. It looked amazing, if he said so himself.
