-- Archon Radonis wearing one of his hats ===== Cam got excited when he found a glass globe with a small castle inside it that Dorian identified as magical until he explained it was a very common sort of souvenir in Tevinter. If you set it a certain way, it glowed and looked as if there was snow falling on the little castle.
"Do you recognize the castle?" I asked him.
He shook his head. "There are several that look like it; I don't know that it's even meant to be a specific one. They've put every sort of thing in these globes that you can imagine. There's even one that's supposed to be the Archon. It's considered very collectible, since they put a stop to it within days of the first one appearing. Apparently the hat they'd sculpted him wearing was unflattering."

I’m always shit posting little dialogue snippets, so here’s a silly one I wrote after finding out Archon Radnonis is rumored to have a soft spot for cats. This may or may not end up somewhere sometime. I don’t plan these things.

I don't believe the Alti would take well to the idea of creating a hospital in the Serene Quarters, diverting our healers to treat the Soporati instead of their fellow mages. And opening it to slaves? No way. There would be an uproar. *Audible meow from Anders's jacket* Radonis: *turns immediately* Was that... *A small yellow kitten pops out of Anders's collar, climbs up his shoulder, and moves to sit on Anders’s head.* Anders: *looking innocent* Oh her? I found her in an alley on the way over here. I'm thinking of calling her Buttercup. Archon: If you give me that cat, I will work out the rest. Dorian, master maneuverer, thinks to himself: We absolutely didn't specifically grab that cat for this meeting Dorian: *sips tea*

I appreciate the little touches with Tevinter names being similar (or even identical) to Ancient Roman names, or names we'd associate with Ancient Rome. But I didn't immediately catch that Archon Radonis' name is literally just ... Adonis ... with an R. Amazing.
Confession:Â I just read the second issue of Magekiller, and I am loving Archon Radonis so far. He's strong and absolutely unflinching, but also seems very wise -- so much more than just a shrewd politician. I think that my fancast for him would be Elliot Knight.
