2007 La Rioja Alta, S.A. Gran Reserva 904. Transparent garnet color. Initial aromatics of herbs that have evolved into fresh leather and bright cherry flavors. The finish starts at the tip of the tongue and rolls all the way down the throat as one swallows. Served with hamburgers on the grill with house cut French fries. Can you say Butterscotch? Who wants to taste a perfectly aged white Burgundy without premox? Wish I would have tasted these 5-6 years ago but alas another buried case of wine in the depths of the cellar! Hay with notes of old straw but a darker golden color. A beautiful example of this wine. The finishes is only medium and it finishes flat.
