He didnāt remember if heād been born on a planet. Didnāt remember if heād been born on a ship, or even in a star - which honestly seemed plausible. It was just.. him. Him and space and whatever he passed near. Not that he tried to near them in the first place - quite frankly, he preferred going unnoticed - there were precious few organic creatures that called the stars their home, him being one of them.
Fewer still that he knew could close in on a star and skim along the white-hot plasma without dying. That could wrap themselves in the intense heat and come out unscathed.
As such, he imagined that were the wrong creatures to find him, he might find himself grounded.
He didnāt have a particular goal in mind, in his travels. Just to keep going. He supposed āsee new thingsā was a sort of goal. Seeing new things was always interesting. Which was why, he reasoned, heād been tailing a rather interesting-looking ship for the past while.
The machine was huge, bigger than even he was. It dwarfed him in size, and he hadnāt seen a ship quite like it in... a very long time. He would follow it for a while longer, maybe commit itās shape to memory before setting off. It had been a long time since heād had company in the void of space - even if they didnāt know him there.
Provided they didnāt, in fact, know he was there.
