This recipe lets you make Arby's Beef n' Cheddar at home, and it tastes just like the real thing! On top of a warm, toasty sesame seed bun are thin slices of roast beef, cheddar cheese, and homemade Arby's Sauce.
Ingredients: 4 sesame seed hamburger buns. 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef. 8 slices of cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup Arby's Sauce see instructions below. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup ketchup. 1/4 teaspoon onion powder. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/4 teaspoon paprika. 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce optional. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
Instructions: Prepare the Arby's Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce if using, salt, and pepper. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to use. Preheat your oven to 350F 175C to warm the roast beef and melt the cheese. Split the hamburger buns and lightly toast them in a toaster or oven. Warm the thinly sliced roast beef in the oven for about 5 minutes. Place 1/4 lb of warmed roast beef on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top the roast beef with 2 slices of cheddar cheese on each sandwich. Place the sandwiches back in the oven for about 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Spread a generous amount of Arby's Sauce on the top half of each bun. Carefully assemble the sandwiches by placing the Arby's Sauce-covered bun on top of the roast beef and cheese. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the buns are golden brown and the cheese is gooey. Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately.
