It was the first thing she saw, right after she locked the front door and turned around to leave the house. Wide brown eyes stared at the scene before her, taking a few moments to comprehend what she was looking at. Suitcases, boxes, a truck...
Ah. Right! A faint memory clicked into place as Ayano finally moved from her spot by the door and sprinted over to the house next to hers. She heard something about a new neighbor the other day from one of her friends working at Civil Service, but that was about it. She didn't even know whether or not they'd come today, and had completely forgot about it up until now. Feeling a little silly for being a little too slow at the uptake, Ayano peered over the fence that separated her home from the one beside it, immediately spotting a figure with blonde hair. "Um, good morning!" She waved cheerily as she called for the attention of the stranger. "Hi! It seems like we're going to be neighbors from now on."
There was a quick pause, and the brunette glanced back to the suitcases piled on top of each other. "Would you like me to help with that?" she added timidly, an index finger pointing at the luggage in hesitation. Things fly by faster with the help of others, after all, but Ayano had a feeling it would still take quite a while before even half of the girl's things were safely inside.
