as i was taking some samurai gifs for fun one day (right), i realised i had a gif of the very same emote in aquilinus's starter look. i wanted to compare the two now that he's been a solid character of mine for awhile. i find the differences funny: he lost his makeup, longer hair, highlights, and pleasant little smile. i notice i chose a darker location for his more recent gif, too. does anyone else have a cute/funny character comparison?

Aquilinus was the firstborn of his family, with his sister Jolanta coming around when he was five. He immediately took up a caring role towards her, always wishing to hold her, take her to the park, and share with her his favourite books. Though the two were essentially the opposite in terms of presentation - Aquilinus reserved, Jolanta fiery - they cared for each other deeply. Most sibling-like quarrels stemmed from the teasing Aquilinus received, especially when his sister caught up to him in height; otherwise, the two shared a deep bond. When the cry of Anima echoed throughout the capital, both siblings fell under the eikon's influence. Only one came out unscathed, however. Upon being cured of his affliction, Aquilinus's first return to his childhood home, now reduced to rubble, revealed the very sight he hoped not to see: his sister's lifeless body, left to freeze in the cold. Hidden slightly within the remnants of their house's foundation, it would mark their home as nothing more than painful memories of a once-happy past.
