“Pfft, just call me ‘Trucy’, Ade. But to answer your question, I...~ love watching funny movies or actions movies that make you sit on the edge of your seat, they’re THAT good!” She snickers, currently making some popcorn for them. 

Since Trucy was the only one available to be able to watch Adelaide for the night, she gladly agreed to do so. It wasn’t as if she was going to be taking care of a baby, so she wouldn’t have to worry about watching over her every second. She was basically treating this like a sleepover kind of night.

“So she likes religious movies, huh? Well don’t worry, we’re not gonna watch something super boring: we’re gonna watch a movie I’m sure you’ll enjoy a lot, too!”

5am. Most people wouldn’t even be up at this hour, especially on a weekend. But Mery was, only because she ended up pulling an all-nighter. And even then, she wasn’t sleepy; she was moreso hungry, actually. 

And so, she gets her phone to start texting Adelaide, despite how absolutely early it is. a sly smile on her face, she types out: 

[TEXT: Ade] lmao wanna get some burger king or somthin I’m hungry

     She definitely didn’t feel like Daichi had had Adelaide for as long as he had; Caprice had never realized how fast time went; she remembered when... everything had happened, and suddenly he was this kid’s guardian; and both of them were trying to figure out how to be the closest thing they could to parents, even though they weren’t, they were Uncle Daichi and Aunt Caprice; and they were coping with her friend’s and, more importantly, his brother’s death—as cliche as it was, it was as clear as it was yesterday.

     But what the cliche failed to recognize was that it felt like it was a lifetime ago, at the same time. It had been years, and they’d gotten married, and so much had changed, but... life was weird, that was her sole explanation.

     “ Alright! Back to school shopping time again, yeah? ”

     Once Adelaide had sat, he poured her a cup (child-proof, of course) of milk and set it in front of her, before turning back to the food. He couldn’t help but laugh at the idea of his boss being a green, four-armed, spikey haired alien, either.

“ Mr. Wright does kinda act like an alien sometimes, doesn’t he? “ Perhaps he’d think about relaying the dream to Mr. Wright himself- maybe he’d get a kick out of it, too.

     Apollo hummed tunelessly as he flipped their pancakes, placing them all on a single plate for easier storage- Adelaide didn’t seem to be able to eat all of her meal, often. “ Nope- just you and me today, kiddo. “ 

“That sounds exactly like you’re questioning my expertise! Everything my robots do is controlled and…”

[ Ah. It is smoking. Edmund’s gaze averts from Adelaide to the robot several times, though he soon makes the decision to leave her side and pick the poor bot up. Several coughs are given, followed by a wave of his hand to clear the smoke, at which point he flicks the ‘off’ switch. He can only offer a mildly guilty look in response. ]
