“Lance, I’m tired of resting. I want to get up and move.”

Shiro was their leader, and normally Lance would follow his orders without question, but this time he hesitated, lingering in the doorway and giving the other paladin a worried look.

“I know, but… Do you really think it’s okay? You were in pretty bad shape before. You shouldn’t push yourself.” His voice was quiet, afraid Shiro would lash out at him for being the reason he had to go through this in the first place.

It had been the decision from the Kogane and Shirogane family that they were going to meet to come up with a peace treaty among the two families. The Kogane family were in charge of a organization known as the Blade of Marmora since a few family members that were related to Keith were apart of it. One of them being his Uncle who did help raise him when his parents were taken care of other duties for the family. Once he was old enough, he learned about his family being apart of the Mafia and that they were one of the most well-respected ones around. Their name was well-known because of how Keith’s parents started the small family until it grew once the Blades joined their side and Keith was born. He was the next heir to take over as the head once he was old enough to, plus all the training that he needed to go through. The heir needed to know how to defend himself especially if someone would try to come after him. 

It was a good thing that he was a quick learner while him being able to fight came naturally to the young heir. His skills grew over time turning the raven and leader that he was today, a leader that his family needed. One that Keith was going to help lead the family when it was needed, he was the one who would be making all the decisions. 

Today, his attention was working on the treaty with the family that they would be meeting with. Everything needed to go well though because of how important it was, this peace treaty was needed for both families to gain an ally especially with how well-known the Kogane family already is. Plus Keith had to hold his ground up to the Kogane name. 

Keith was making his way toward the location of the meeting while checking a few messages through his phone. Ones that been sent to him about what was going to be happening today, everything that he needed to know about the family that he would be meeting with today. At the last second though, he did run into someone that probably would of knocked him off balance if Keith hadn’t caught himself. 

It wasn’t until his parents were long gone, and the sun began to set in his window that another visitor showed up. Lance put down his trashy romance novel super nice book, pushing it under his pillow, when he heard footsteps come in.

His eyes lit up at the sight of Shiro, still in the crisp uniform they’d placed him for his speech that afternoon.

“Hey.” he smiled and pat the side of his bed, for Shiro to sit. “I watched the whole speech. You did great out there..How are you feeling?”
