@aprip and I were chatting on skype and along the way we made a blood pact to make these incredibly silly drawings.

Y'know what would make it interesting? If your opponents had a lifebar besides their normal puzzle area. To defeat them peacefully, you would have to make them lose as usual. But maybe you could hold a certain button while dropping a combo on your opponent to make it count as physical damage instead, in order to deplete their lifebar... it would be an easier win, but winning this way would kill off your opponent.

can't you spare low HP'd opponents?

and of course the final boss would be exponentially more difficult

Hm... maybe they could react a bit slower depending on how low their HP is as well

so that there's a practical use to inflicting physical damage besides just plain killing them

So like a KO mechanic?
