As I have probably said many times (perseverating most likely), I feel obligated to share the books I read and my thoughts.Ā
I have finally finished the Keeperās series! I just finished the Starlit Loom, the fourth book. Quite frankly, I was sad to see this series end, and I was worried about finishing it because of that! But no matter, I will still obsess over this series, thereās just nothing new to obsess about!Ā
Some spoilers below the cut if you want to see a little more in-depth review!Ā
Okay so I was definitely expecting a lot of characters to die asĀ āsome [keepers] may surviveā the collapsing of the final Mothergate.Ā
Luckily this did not happen! Brian and Horace and Chloe and April and all the rest are alive! The only ones who died were Ravana (expected, after all she wasnāt a main character at all), Dailen (very sad, but slightly predictable), and Mrs. Heapsteade (honestly surprised she lasted this long).Ā
Overall, very good book. Lots of twists and turns that werenāt really hinted at but theyāre good conclusions, perfectly in line with the world.
Uroboros is something I definitely did not expect. That was surprising but not too crazy of a jump in plot.Ā
You know what is interesting? Mostly people explain the phasing-through-stuff superpower (or tanāji power?) by saying that there is a lot of space between atoms and stuff and they just use that space but no! Chloeās tanji partially phases into another universe where that object sheās phasing through isnāt there! So interesting (to me at least).Ā
Brian is definitely the best. You canāt argue.Ā
I honestly feel bad for Horaceās friends who arenāt Chloe, because Horace says stuff likeĀ āChloe was his friend. The only friend that matteredā (or something like that) and heās probably moping around for those 20 years sheās gone. Horace, what about the others? Brian, Gabriel, April, Neptune, and all the rest? And besides, the epilogue doesnāt even mention anyone other than Horace and Chloe. I get that they are like made for each other (romantically or not) and itās supposed to be touching words, but man do I feel bad for Horaceās other friends.
