Overactive Ink have recently published first release for the iTunes store: an animated children’s storybook entitled “Ashlad and the Troll’s Silver Ducks” The story is based on the collection of Norwegian folklore and fairy-tales by Asbjørnsen and Moe, Norway’s answer to the Brothers Grimm.
Developers spent over a year in production with a team of Norwegian advisers to make the attire, architecture, and overall environment as authentic as possible. They have produced hundreds of hand-illustrated pieces of art for the app, written an all-original music score, and included a charming narration as well. Both the English and Norwegian versions of the app recently launched
Follow Ashlad and his two brothers, Per and Paul, as they embark on a quest to the King’s mansion. Tricked into performing dangerous missions for the King by his plotting brothers, Ashlad encounters evil trolls, magic harps, silver ducks and more!
