I know it's scary to write about characters that are part of a minority, but at the same time, it's not as horrifying as you think it is. As long as you're asking questions to the minority group (who are okay with answering,) constantly learning, checking with the minority group to make sure it's corrects (as well as listening to them and make corrections) and trying to write them as real people, it will be okay. Yes you will make mistakes, but what you basically have to do is to is write them as human beings and ask (more than one people from minority who are okay with it) questions.
