These Caramel Apple Cupcakes are a perfect combination of moist apple-infused cake and sweet caramel drizzle. They capture the flavors of a classic apple pie in a delightful cupcake form. Perfect for fall or anytime you're craving a taste of autumn!
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 1/2 cups finely chopped apples about 2 apples. 1/2 cup caramel sauce. 1/4 cup milk. 1/4 cup sour cream.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a cupcake tin with paper liners. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. In another bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk and sour cream, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Fold in the finely chopped apples. Scoop the cupcake batter into the prepared cupcake tin, filling each liner about 2/3 full. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cupcakes cool in the tin for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, drizzle caramel sauce over the cupcakes and let it set before serving. Enjoy your delicious Caramel Apple Cupcakes that taste just like apple pie!
