Sakura was naturally curious, a trait she had developed out of a deep seated hatred of being left out. She craved inclusion, and so she soaked up any and all knowledge that she could, if only to prove that she had some worth. This very curiosity had led her to begin a quest to explore the Academy and the area surrounding it, hoping to learn more about this strange place. Test its limits ---------------------

And so she found herself striding across the campus, wandering off into the unknown. After some time, she entered a bustling street with large buildings looming on either side and lights brighter than any she'd ever seen before ~ It was a bit overwhelming, and Sakura decided that it would be best to just head somewhere else for the time being. She stopped a passerby who was sympathetic to her plight and suggested that she head off toward the beach.

           The beach. 

It had been quite some time since Sakura had visited a beach, and she was more than a little eager to see this one. Since it turned out that the beach was located not too far outside the shopping district, she really didn't have to go too far. Before she knew it, the sparkling blue waters appeared on the distance.....

'Is this a...a cliff?' She was almost so captivated by the vast expanse of ocean stretching out before her that she didn't notice that she was not alone.                            { - a l m o s t - }                 Sakura decided to approach the figure. It wasn't like she knew a lot of people here at Iwakiri, and if she was going to be here for an undetermined amount of time, it was best that she start meeting others. What she wasn't prepared for was that she might already know the person. 

                               'Stupid.' It wasn't like she hadn't already met others she was familiar with.

"------------------ H-Haku-san?" She blinked once or twice, feeling the pressure building behind her eyes and willing herself not to start crying. It was impossible. This was just someone's idea of a cruel joke. 'So much for escaping ~' The thought was slightly bitter. "Is...What ------"
