for me it's like. amazons was purposefully intended to be Mature & Edgy. whereas something like ex-aid is a show abt gamer doctors so i don't really want to see dark gritty content abt it? esp. bc some of these spinoffs aren't even smth i can laugh at (i found brave survive honestly really unpleasant)
honestly like next to early heisei stuff its not even that dark edgy. itās just regular business as usual so it doesnāt really bother me. i think people built up a lot of expectations about the show cause of the video game themes or s/t but itās kinda funny schlock for me.Ā
