The very last moments of slaughtering their latest hunt resulted in poison blanketing the area. All but Noct had been able to dodge away from the worst of it, and even though heâd downed an antidote afterward the effects were still weighing heavily on him.
It ends up having him leaning heavily on Prompto, sight a sheer blur while they head to the outpost that luckily isnât too far off from where they had been roaming.
â Dude IâŠcanât feel my face right nowâŠnot in a good way.. â
âNo, no, dude itâs fine. SeeâŠ?â He gave Noct a quick, playful slap to the cheek and grinned. âStill there.â Heâd seen him throw back the antidote, though, so the fact that he was still all venom-ed up wasnât the most reassuring of signs. Poisoned Noct was heavy Noct, too, though that wouldnât have been so bad if not for the wet mud squelching and sliding beneath their boots.
Theyâd gone in without enough potions and Prompto was hoping one more would do the trick, but until they got to test that theory he couldnât be sure, and a small knot of worry had already started to tighten in his gut.
Finally, mud and grass gave way to concrete as they stumbled clumsily over the guard rail and trudged toward the caravan. âAlmost there, buddy,â he informed, as Ignis went on ahead to grab more supplies. âHow you holding up?â
