The person grading my essay for prompt 3
Reading and Writing :)
Night after night,
I went to bed in fright,
Fearing that graduation,
was no where in sight.
But alas there’s hope,
Unless Kreinbring says nope
And gives me a failing grade,
which would not be dope.
For the new flock of birds,
please heed my words,
do not procrastinate,
unless you want to get hit
right where it hurts:
the transcript.
Research and Writing 2
As my journey is coming to an end (thank god) I would say I had a somewhat enjoyable time. The main source of my joy was seeing my writing come together in one piece. On the contrary, while I was reading the collection of writing I was starting to see where my brain started running on E. Well more like -E since I came into Junior already on E, the point is that editing will need to be done.
As I was reading, I noticed I never talked about John Galt once... the shadow being of Atlas Shrugged. For some reason, the 4 or 5 brain cells that are still alive in my smoothie of a brain forgot about him. Ironically the book starts off with “Who is John Galt?”, so you’d think I’d remember that... Anyway, I left out how much of an impact he has on the story and Ayn Rands Philosophy.
Reading and Writing :(
Honestly, the actual writing of this project was easily the single most frustrating thing I have had to do in high school. Right when I found my groove with the writing I got my concussion, and so given that it was my fourth one, I needed to take extra precaution that I did not exacerbate my condition. So I took a couple days off from writing a couple weeks ago and have been trying to find my groove again since. I can not even begin to get into the frustration of staring at a computer screen for hours trying to think of what to write with a mind-numbing headache. To get around this, I basically had to just write what ideas I did have almost like a stream of consciousness and then just go back and heavily edit each section until I felt like I had ended up with something that wouldn't result in a failing grade

the Grind!!!!
okay so I am super super close to being done!!! heck ya! I’m really not proud of my work ethic but imma be real, life ain’t easy lately. Anywhoooo I’m probably most proud of my literary criticisms except something I never clarified is how to actually quote a source. This may seem so dumb bc I am a senior but have you ever had to quote a source within a source within a source??? idk how but I ended up with like 5 apostrophes at the end of my quote but I could only reduce them after playing with my sentence structure. Also, the internet is so confusing when it comes to looking up grammar rules.
I guess I’ll say I’m overall very enlightened about Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep and I really surprised myself by not being stupid. I’d like to thank the Internet for making this project possible, Spotify for providing the sick jams, and They Say I Say for teaching me how to make a coherent sentence.
Gn and Gbye :)
Frankenstein research 3
As my writing seems to be coming to a close, I only feel like I am getting more and more work from some portion of this project. I wish we had some better direction on how to format this project in writing because everyday I work on this, I always start out lost. Sometimes, I feel like certain portions of the overall critical review are just claims of certain themes and ideas constantly repeated, but I don’t know what more to write.
Now that I am writing my critical review for sources that align with my thinking, I think I made the smart choice to branch out use another source by itself - not one from a piece of criticism I already have. This allows for my perception to become more nuanced since I have a wider variety of perspectives.
Other than that, I think I will be okay with my overall research. I am getting guidance from friends, I just wish I pushed myself to work more often so that I can consistently stay on track, but at least now I am on a pace ahead of many of my peers.
Frankenstein research 2
The accumulation of this project has taken more time than any other project I have ever been given. However, the research is not as dreadful as many assignments and projects that I get from other classes.
Through research of the book, I am starting to learn more about science and history that actually somewhat sincerely interests me. As I research different political, intellectual, historical, and philosophical contexts of this story, I begin to really understand why the book was written the way it was when certain pieces of context were applied. Learning about the Age of Enlightenment opened my eyes to how recent Newtons laws of motion are, and how current that science was when this story was first published. Also, the story begins to challenge social and cultural norms as a result of people like John Locke and Isaac Newton.
Although the research project becomes fascinating at points, the extent of it fries my brain after a few hours of work. More than often, I have to push myself to focus because of simply how extensive this project is. I have never researched this much ever.
