And Toris and Eduard’s birthdays are 8 days apart in February (16th, 24th)

Like can you imagine the combined/back-to-back parties for these guys 🥳

So I was editing for the printed book today and got to this part towards the end of ch. 18, when Eduard reacts to Gilbert’s story. 

And it just blew my mind. 

Because although the entire story is centered around a parallel between how Ed and Raivis reacted to Toris in the 1800′s, and how they’re reacting to Gilbert now, this is one of only THREE places where this is stated explicitly, and the ONLY place where the connection is made by Eduard himself.

This, right here, is the hinge that brings Toris and Gilbert’s stories together. 

In Nyotalia-verse, Belarus started dating America about the fall of the USSR because he was a little scared of what he could do this his big sister if he stayed with her for much longer. Because America and Russia were in the middle of a horrible gossip war (The Cold War), they decided to keep their relationship a secret. 

But, Belarus started cheating on America with Lithuania. Russia found out and, as a form of revenge on Belarus for leaving the USSR and as a way to piss off America, she "discreetly" ratted Belarus out to both America and Lithuania.
