So my friends decided to hike Mt. Manalmon and Mt. Gola on October 20th, we planned this hike weeks before, we booked a tour and had an organizer. We had a group chat, it was all settled, we had our things ready night before the hike. We all set to meet at 1 AM in Pasay Manila, some of us didnt get to sleep at all, some get a power nap.

Friday night at almost 12 AM, the organizer messaged us that UNFORTUNATELY, the hike is cancelled due to the van we’re supposed to use wont start and not in good condition (whatever). We received the message while we were already outside going to Pasay all so ready for the hike. It is also unfortunate that the organizer didnt have any back up plan or ANY SUGGESTIONS that we could use to push through the hike, the place was just 2 hrs from Manila, we could rent another van or we can commute but NO, he wanted to reschedule the hike on november 17, on the very last minute he cancelled and rescheduled the hike which for me is very rude given the fact that there still way for this hike to happen.

We were so frustrated, 1AM were still on the sidewalk thinking of ways on how to murder our organizer haha Lol just kidding! But really I was so tired and didnt get any sleep if i were to meet him I want to strangle him on the neck! 😅

Also on the very last minute after we chilled, were still on the sidewalk lol and decided to do DIY Hike so we wont put our efforts and time into waste. We rode a Bus bound to Batangas instead of Bulacan where Mt Manalmon is.

We decided to detour because we still believe that everything happens for a reason, that maybe the reason why we cant go to Mt Manalmon is because something bad might happen. Its an old belief so we decided to detour BUT we remained angry at F (organizer) because he frustrates us so muuccchh.

So we got there at Mt Talamitam and Mt Apayang, it’s also a twin hike, less the caving and monkey bridge. The trail is great, views and landscape are the best.! While we were hiking, F’s name became like a joke and a cuss to us, We were like “hayp ka f nasa monkey bridge dapat kami” or “kasalanan to ni f” and “ay F” he bcame our energy booster and laughing stock at the same time sorry ✌🏻✌🏻 not sorry 😂

At the end of the day, The hike was still great because we get to see the beauty of nature! And of course because of our hilarious, idiotic and adventurous hiking buddies. ❤️
