Hanako is the kind of person who reveals himself in a twisted way. And so, at first, he'd be very polite and courteous (and only within the bounds of standard etiquette) toward Aoi, even sweet. Because he doesn't like her at all! And he doesn't care. He treats the people he likes more harshly β and more horribly. When Hanako starts to think that he doesn't want this kannagi to disappear on the far shore forever, because because (he reaches doesn't want it?? eww), then he'll turn on the yandere manipulator and treat Aoi horribly. He'll withhold words, lie, lock her out, and start to feel entitled to dictate Aoi's safety (because he's the boss, her only acquaintance, and she simply has no one else to turn to in the supernatural realm) and her behavior and freedom in general. Hanako will turn from a polite gentleman into a toxic husband, and this will anger Aoi greatly, but it will be too late.
What a mess Hanaoi and Natsukane are...damn...bringing them together, they seem similar, but it's still interesting, not like they're the same and it's all boring. On some other hand, their personalities are being revealed. And most importantly, with these options, no canon is canon β Aoikane broke up, Sakuhiko too, Hananene too.
Hanaoi will suffer from not being good enough for their crushes and not being around them long enough, Natsukane will literally lose a part of her personality based on worshiping this cold girl, oh no! Sakuhiko is such a thing, you know? I don't pine over them. I call them parents, purely because it's a neutral attitude, so be it. But I'm not really interested, it's because of Sakura, who I don't really feel like a character at all, much less that she can have any ship chemistry. It's played out more powerfully in Sampo/Lynx, as a slutty guy who doesn't get any intimacy, than here. And Natsuhiko's shitty behavior towards her... which is exactly what his huge ship chemistry does... I'm not a Sakura fan, but you shouldn't do that to her. Sakura clearly wants to run the show, so let Natsuhiko finally unleash his slutty side on the counter (β ββ βΏβ ββ )
