It was strange how often the universe seemed throw seemingly normal days at people, only to have those days turn completely upside-down. Not that Az had any idea today was going to do just that. As far as the woman was concerned, this was just another morning, her alarm going off to get her up for another day of work.
First though, Az had to stop by the office downstairs. She was a few days behind on rent, so getting that paid off was a bit of a priority. She didn't need to be at work for another two hours anyway, so that gave her time to slip on some jeans, a t-shit, and her favorite converse before grabbing her money and heading out the door.
Azrael — though most people here knew her as Ashley — yawned, stretching a bit as she walked past her neighbor's door and down the stairs. She should probably pick up her mail while she was at it.
