I have three questions;
1. What’s the main plot of your movie au for ninjago?
2. Does it diverge from cannon in any way? 3.

gosh I haven't thought about movie au in forever.... Thank you for asking!
Basically the comics that have come out are pre the movie plot. So Lloyd makes friends with harumi, morro, E, and the like, but then he starts hanging out more with the ninja as they become closer. Then the movie plot happens, Lloyd identity gets revealed, the sog FLIP. however, they don't really have time to unpack ALL of that, as the preeminent is pissed someone took over Ninjago before her and sets her evil plan in motion. So morro gets called back to the preeminent and the ninja have to fight him as their next big bad. Meanwhile harumi's having a mental breakdown and E, well... No spoilers but you know what happens in season 9. It all turns out okay though! I'm allergic to sad endings
I mean a little canon divergence, but it's mostly pre and post canon!
This probably isn't going to come up in the actual comic but basically, Dr. Julien lived alone outside of Ninjago city and made Zane to keep him company. He kept upgrading Zane until oh wait, that's a person, okay new son. But eventually dr Julien sends Zane to Ninjago City for a proper teenager experience in public school. And then he's lonely again. So he makes echo. And he doesn't upgrade echo past the basics, because he's not trying to make another sentient machine. But eventually dr Julien leaves to be with his son, and leaves echo behind. But alas! Echo has in fact gained consciousness despite the lack of upgrades, and he wants to follow his dad. So he. Walks. All the way to Ninjago City. And his body falls apart on the journey, but it's okay, his dad will fix it. But when he finds dr Julien, echo finds him happy with a better, more advanced and human looking version of himself, and he realizes that he is the replacement, the inferior model. So he leaves, walking around the depths of Ninjago city with a detached arm and a broken voice box. And there he meets harumi, who is like "hi! You look like you're in a downwards spiral into evil. Can I interest you in our lord and savior lord Garmadon?" And thus the start of a beautiful fucked up friendship

Disclaimer: Making movie echo backstory requires making movie Zane backstory and I do not have the correct brainrot for that but I tried
So Dr Julien makes Zane and then sends him off to Ninjago City to live life as a normal teenager. But he gets lonely and makes Echo. Anyways eventually Zane asks his dad to come to the city to live with him, and Echo gets left behind 👍 and yaknow angst angst angst etc but eventually echo decides to travel to Ninjago City to see his family (he was expecting Dr Julien to come get him but NOPE)
So yeah echo gets really beat up on the journey to the city, like falling apart at the joints beat up. When he finds Dr Julien and Zane they are having a wonderful time and being happy and echo is just an onlooker who never really belonged, who was only made to replace someone angst angst angst pt2
And then he meets harumi!
Anyways that was a lot of sadness and plot here have some silly things his helmet can do
