Went To Antwerp for my paper on a Flemish old master. Loved it.

Some pictures are such beautiful reminders of your journey. I spent just a day in Antwerp. My noon went in exploring the old city of Antwerp, closing on the artistic alleys, the museums, and learning the rich history of how Rennaisance took shape in the churches here. In the evening I explored the fashion street of Antwerp, which over the years has produced artists and designers who have changed the global fashion scene (do you know the concept of gender fluidity in fashion has its roots in Antwerp), and the night with my couch-surfing host and his friends. Well absolutely nothing can come close to how eventful that day was - from knowing about traditions followed by Orthodox Jews in the Jew colony to eating out hearts out and ending the day with Belgian Fries 😅😅 Sorry I am a little nostalgic!!
