BlackBerry‘s first Android phone, the Priv, will no longer be receiving any security updates, according to the Canadian mobile maker. Also announced at the same time was a trade-up program for users still using the Priv or a BlackBerry 10 device to upgrade their devices to the BlackBerry KeyONE at, hopefully, a discounted price.

However, BlackBerry has claimed on its blog that they will still continue to provide software support in case a serious security vulnerability is detected for the Priv. BlackBerry also said that all warranty obligations of the device will also be fulfilled.The Priv was announced in India back in 2016 for a price of Rs 62,990. The phone has a 5.4-inch dual-curved WQHD Plastic AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 featuring a hexa-core, 64-bit processor and Adreno 418 GPU clocked at 600 MHz. The phone has 3 GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is upgradable to 2 TB via a micro-SD card. It also had a 3.5 mm headphone jack, which is something that has to be mentioned separately nowadays (sigh).

The Priv has a BlackBerry keyboard which slides out from under the display. This physical keyboard gives the user full-screen content along with capacitive-touch features, such as a trackpad. The phone has an 18 MP dual-flash Schneider-Kreuznach certified camera on the back. The Priv was launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It packs in a 3,410 mAh battery, which was claimed to give up to 22.5 hours of battery life.

The Mi A1 is still one of the best smartphones with stock Android and and 12MP dual rear cameras, one with a wide-angle lens and other with a telephoto lens offering portrait mode, background blur, 2x optical zoom and more. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 Mobile platform.It has a unibody metal design with rounded edges and is just 7.3mm thick. There is a Fingerprint sensor on the back and the phone packs 3080mAh built-in battery.

LG has announced Signature Edition, the company’s latest premium smartphone in the new ‘LG SIGNATURE’ series in Korea. It is made of premium materials such as  zirconium ceramic back cover that prevents scratches. Customers can also engrave their name on the back of the phone. The LG Signature Edition comes in Black and White colors. The company will make only 300 phones and will start selling it later this month. No word on the pricing yet.

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has launched its latest selfie smartphone Oppo F5 Youth in India. Launched last month in China, the smartphone is targeted towards the youth and was launched at an event in Mumbai by Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha.

Price and availability:- The company has priced the Oppo F5 Youth at Rs 16,990. The smartphone will come in Black and Gold colour option and will start selling in India starting December 8. Going by the price the device will face tough competition from Vivo V7 which comes with a 24MP front camera and is priced at Rs 18,990.

Specifications:- One of the main highlight of Oppo F5 Youth is its front camera. The smartphone comes with a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. Like the earlier launched Oppo F5 the smartphone comes with AI beauty recognition technology. Using the technology, the smartphone can scan up to 200 facial recognition spots that help in beautifying the selfie. Along with this, the users can also use the front camera to unlock the device.The Oppo F5 Youth sports a 6-inch FHD+ full screen display with 1080×210 pixel resolution. The display is topped with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Powering the smartphone is a 2.5GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. Micromax just launched Canvas Infinity Pro, successor of Canvas Infinity that was launched back in August. It has a 5.7-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and minimal bezels and runs on Android Nougat, but this is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform, instead of Snapdragon 425 and also comes with a 20-megapixel front-facing camera along with a secondary 8-megapixel camera offering Portrait Mode that blur the background in selfie images.
