latest session happenings! finished the adventure in the Tower of Whispers, killed the death tyrant that kidnapped all those poor souls and we only almost got TPK-d by the very end so y'know, overall a success :D ramblings between the pictures, i guess i'm using these posts as diaries lol
also long post warning, but i kinda don't wanna put my art under a readmore so there is that :D
first up, i was asked to draw Draven (new character who joined us for this one adventure, friend wanted to try playing a new kid) based on a screenshot of the iconic Morticia Addams, he has the same mannerisms :D he also finds everything fascinating, a very cool perspective (even if it's a bit creepy sometimes)
there was a bit of a mishap with some traps - we crawled into a vent shaft like tunnel with Anton leading, but boy has neither the tools nor the knowledge to disable these godsdamned contraptions so there had to be a bit of switcharoo happening :D Luka had the great idea for the downward dog solution, there was lots of grumping and a protective Synin (magic raven), it was hilarious, of course it needed documenting 🤣
sharing food and snacks is very much an Anton thing to do, and in the end peace was established with Synin, bird kept asking for more trailmix at every opportunity xD in the end Anton just gave the rest of the mix to Draven when he left to return home, he can always buy some more :3
Talk to the hand - the severed hand was whispering to Draven, the boys were a bit creeped out by it :"D
this one is a wordplay that i'm sure is impossible to translate - we call trailmix diákcsemege which is student snack in a literal translation. Draven is asking if the "student snack" is made out of students to which Anton explains that no, it's nuts and raisins, and Luka remarks that it would be much more interesting if it was made out of students :D not pictured is Anton saying we don't eat kids (students) and Luka looking to the side suspiciously XD (also i forgot the scar on Anton's arm but it's okay)
there was an encounter with a bathtub and a mummy emerging out of it, doing a ton of opportunity attack damage and giving Anton a very nasty death curse :"D there was a whole turn where he got both frightened and paralised so he could do nothing but just helplessly watch as the monster claws at his new friends, cursing one of them the same as it did with him, condemning them both to a gruesome death - it was a great fight, i loved it, Anton not so much :"D
but y'know, everything is fine ✌️🤠🙃😎👍 poor boy definitely didn't get traumatised and gain a shiny new fear, noooo
he did need a solid ten minutes to get himself together, Luka had to gently guide him out of the bathroom :"D
(i know i already posted this two but i wanted these notes to be in one post so here ya go again :3 i also like them a lot, they turned out well especially the looming mummy one)
that day was very unlucky in terms of dice rolls (i rolled a nat1 twice in succession so Anton's rifle got jammed and needed some TLC after the adventure) but he did manage a very cool shot against a magical mirror that held the trapped souls of women murdered by a death tyrant so that's something :3 (never you mind that the sharpshooter ranger is supposed to be a good shot but he's been plagued by bad luck ever since he got caught up in supernatural stuff so it's kinda sad and funny that his only good shot was against a stationary object... he will get over it and it still looked good in my head :D )
after all the fighting and everything we managed to get Xerax back (well Luka's siblings were kind enough to return him) so we got to take a rest and heal and stuff, we updated everyone on everything that happened, and the boys ended up bonding over a newfound fear hatred of bathtubs (Xerax fell asleep in one before he got kidnapped so he is fully convinced that the bathtub was some sort of dimensional gate or such bullshit, and Anton will forever have nightmares about the mummy so y'know, justified)
that last one i'll want to draw digitally one day but for now it's good like this :3
