ANTLAN[アントラン] it's a little ANT dude who has a tokusatsu superhero gimmmick...
Normally I'd start with the actual unique designs, but technically Antlan started as the GBA original and their kind of mascot character, so I'll just roll through this
AKAKAGE[アカカゲ] from the classic 1960s ninja superhero, AKAKAGE[赤影]: "Red Shadow"
GRASS-V[グラスビー] I assume it's V for Victory and not just B for ???? I don't think it's GRASS-BEE although the insect thing i guess wouldn't not make sense?
MARVEL[マーヴル] like MARVEL comics?
OCTOBURN[オクトバン] OCTO and BURN but possibly a play on OCTOBER?
JUSTICE[ジャスティス] I swear there was a different monster with this name...(アントラン+デュラハン)
SEAGULL[シーガル](アントラン+レシオネ)
GEKKO[ゲッコウ] from GEKKO KAMEN[月光仮面]: "Moonlight Mask" the classic and arguably first TV tokusatsu hero
HAKEN[ハーケン] I assume from HAMU and i assume KEN[拳]:"fist"? and not the German HAKEN:"hooked"
TRICKSTER[トリックスター](アントラン+ギタン)
PHANTOM[ファントム](アントラン+モノリス)
KABUTOLAN[カブトラン] from KABUTOMUSHI[甲虫]: "rhinoceros beetle" swapping the Ant for Kabuto in ANTLAN
SKELETOLAN[スカルトラン](アントラン+???)
QUINTY[クインティ] from the villain of the old Mendel Palace puzzle game??
PHARAOH-EYE[ファラオアイ] Probably meant as EYE just the literal sense, but a lesser known Pharaoh of Egypt with a fairly brief reign in the 1300s was in fact named AY.
RHINO-LINE[ライノライン] previously named RHINER[ライナー]
FALCOLAN[ファルコラン] FALCON and ANTLAN, ironically this was before FALCO was introduced in the DS games
DRYING[ドライング] ??? it doesn't not work with the fire theme, but feels kind of goofy as a name
Love that they made a whole sentai team and a villain for them. I like that the heroes all have their own subtle details like the shape of their chest emblem, visor pattern, and headpieces beyond just being recolors.
