I like to go look at the blogs of people who like my writing posts even if they don't follow me.
It always absolutely slays me when their blog says "proshippers DNI" --especially when whatever they liked had a tag on it that said "antis get lost".
I really think people don't know what "proshipper" means anymore. That they think it means you, personally, believe that other humans should be out there having unethical sex with kids, animals, and people they have real power over. I don't, of course.
Once again for the kids in the back, a proshipper is simply a person who thinks that if you don't like the fiction someone else has written (or the art they've created, as long as it hasn't been created in such a way that you can't tell from looking at it that there's not a real human or animal in that picture), you should just leave it alone and not harass other people over stuff that is happening to fictional characters.
That's it. I don't like the word much, because if you're going to call me a pro I feel like I ought to get paid, but...that's all it means.
(And all "anti" means is a person who thinks it's just fine to harass living people over things they have done with fictional characters. It's perfectly fine to have an opinion and dislike certain ships, either specific ships or specific types of ships. I have anything that sounds removely like a/b/o or omegaverse tumblr savioured as well as a few other things like "wavewave" and "coswave" and pretty much every prowl ship except constructiprowl. But I don't hate *you* if you ship those things.)
