Lovely Antique French star laces tagged : Samaritaine Paris Comptoir des Dentelles = Samaritaine Paris Department Store Lace Department (1869 - 2005) "La Samaritaine" was a large department store in Paris located in the first quarter next to metro Pont-Neuf . In 1869 Ernest Cognacq and Marie-Louise Jaÿ, his wife opened their first small boutique . She used to work for his competitor Le Bon Marché.  Before Cognacq was selling ties under an umbrella on the Pont Neuf bridge.  In 1900, the couple was expanding and lauched several large department stores named "Grands Magasins de La Samaritaine". This laces were belonging to the lace department : "Le comptoir des dentelles " Samaritaine closed down in 2005. So you have 2 collectible Art Laces in handmade .
