This is a drawing that I have worked on very sporadically since autumn of 2019. I finally finished it off!
It is all drawn with graphite pencil except for the background gradient is digital. The reference photograph that's from 1896 (shown below the cut). I'm really happy with it! The technique I used was holding the pencil upright, and not leaning it on its side to shade. I did blend with a tortillon in the lightest areas. The physical drawing is about 9x9 inches (23x23 cm).
