I’ve had enough of the weird posts about Hunt being creepy towards MC
PB has made it very clear in the book. The MC encountered 2 types of directors - one who harassed her horrendously just because she didn’t give in to him and ruined her reputation falsely on tv as well as in front of the world; while the other made sure she regains her lost self confidence by pushing her to the limit and creating a masterpiece of a movie which was a hard slap to the man who wronged her.
The issue about Hunt being creepy is just not relevant at all. There are so many people who are willing to go to any extent to keep things secret from their competitors. Hunt meeting the MC at an underpass and getting her approval to do the movie secretly at her house, proves that he is extremely competitive and would do anything it took to keep the making of the movie under wraps. Being so competitive is very normal.
Secondly, even though he is clearly very attracted to her, he makes sure he doesn’t cross a line and keeps her away from him at all times until the end of the movie. Throughout the book, it was the MC making advances at him.. He was trying his best to keep her at bay and not lose control.
All these instances are very clearly seen in their interactions.
Hence to sum it up, Hunt is a respectable (unlike Montemarte), competitive individual who’s willing to push the MC to achieve her goal of success while getting back at the man who tried to pull her down.
So the issue about him being creepy and stalkerish just doesn’t exist at all. Period.
