With that, comes thousands of broken hearts, thousands of lost siblings, thousands of distraught parents in disbelief and 30,000 lives abruptly ended by a single gunfire.

30,000 may just be a figure to you, but one of the 30,000 could be your significant other, sibling, parent or child. Imagine getting that phone call. Imagine crying for hours on end into your pillow, and suffering with the fact that their death could have been prevented.

The Orlando massacre and the Christina Grimmie shooting has proven exactly this. Society is so fucked up. Life on earth is a gift, yet people are abusing this privilege. At any moment a natural disaster could occur or a meteor could hit and life could be ended as we know it. We are all in this together, this natural journey of life on earth. To think that some humans sabotage the privilege of life for others makes me sick.

Guns are not trophies, they are killing machines. They were not created to be hung on a shelf, showing off someone’s wealth or macho-ness. Guns were fucking made to kill and you know that. Yet people have the capacity to argue that they need to ‘defend themselves’ or that its in the ‘constitution’, so therefore it surely protects everyone’s rights and values.

If you think the Constitution has proven effective then consider the number 30,000. Consider the massacres that countlessly arise on the news. The Constitution is no fucking excuse for 30,000 lives. If laws were implemented regarding guns, then there would be no need to defend yourself. Guns are not a security blanket.

How would you feel if the bullet was aimed at you? 

Australia had this same problem. After the largest massacre in Australian history in 1996, laws were put in place. There has been no massacres since. 

30,000 people each year. Strict gun laws must be put in place because this is 30,000 too many.
