Nope. Nope, nope, nope. This post will be anti-Repata, so if you're a fan, keep on scrolling!
Why don't you ship it? It felt very forced, like it was retconned onto the viewers. They had friendly chemistry up until the season 2 kiss, even stripping off their clothes in the same room without sneaking peeks at each other, and gave each other a hard time like a brother and sister would. Tasha's 'we're friends - that's it' in response to Reade trying to kiss her felt so original, like, 'yes, men and women can have friendships without hooking everyone up with the closest person to them of the opposite sex!' But then Tasha comes back from the time jump all 🌲🌲🌲, and it was just not necessary, IMO. And Reade gets all mopey and mostly useless for the first half of season 4, when they could have done something more interesting with his character. And then they did a flashback episode in season 5 to pre-series, and tried to make out like they wanted each other all along, and...argh. No.
What would have made you like it? The absence of the first two seasons, maybe? But then the end of season 4/beginning of season 5 ruins it anyway.
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it? They're both hot, I guess? And the moment when he's going to make her tea and she falls asleep on his couch is cute.
