This is Eleanor Bumpurs, sho was brutally murdered by the NYPD in the Bronx in 1984 in the middle of being evicted from Public Housing. The NYPD and NYCHA claimed she tried to stab a police officer, justifying her being shot dead with a shotgun by a NYPD officer. She was disabled and suffered from mental health issues. She was 66 years old, she posed no real threat to anyone but herself. She was being evicted, she needed psychiatric care, not the threat of homelessness. Instead she got murdered. The cop who killed her Stephen Sullivan not only was acquited but remained on the job. Her family was awarded 200,000 dollars in lieu of her life. What a crock of bullshit right? This happened 1 year after the murder of Michael Stewart. I remember my mother crying when this happened and told me “That could be your God Mother right there. “My god mother was a lovely black woman Mary Lou Williamson who helped raise me, she was my main care taker as a toddler. I say all this to remind us to Never Forget#BlackLivesMatter. Look nothings really changed since 84 shit since Black people were brought here against there will over 400 years ago. Like I been saying, only thing different is we all have cameras on our phones now. Last time I checked the statue of limitations for murder had no expiration date. Imagine Amerikkka or NYC looking back at past injustices involving Police Officers and black people and trying to correct the years of bullshit that went down? That would be a start at achieving some real justice right? #NeverForget #GeorgeFloyd #EricGarner #AnthonyBaez #RomarleyGrahm #EleanorBumpurs (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBFCmaNg4XM/?igshid=7n5trpmcqnke
