🪼 🧌🐦🔥 for the book ask meme?
🪼 Longest book - Disney War by James B. Stewart. ~600 pages of rich white dudes being unfathomably bitchy to each other at the Happiest Place on Earth Headquarters.
🧌 Underhyped book - This is almost certainly recency bias and me being a bird nerd, but I think more people should read Jennifer Ackerman’s stuff. The Genius of Birds and The Bird Way are both great.
🐦🔥 Book that surprised you - When Books Went to War by Molly Guptill Manning; on top of information about how books were delivered to and helped soldiers at the front, it gave a lot of context I was totally unaware of about the evolution of the commercial book market and how much WWII brought about our current one.
Thanks!
