What always fascinated me about aristocratic/nobility/royal protagonists and their relationships with their pushy/overbearing/controlling families is "At which point do you stop seeing your child as your child and start seeing them as a pawn in your schemes? Or did you ever see them as your child, who didn't ask to be brought into this world and who certainly won't appreciate controlled on how to live their lives, or were they always a way for you to make the ends meet?"

Of course, there is also the matter of those families sometimes not seeing anything wrong with how they act because that's how their families were to them, and/or they are acting on what they genuinely believe to be the best for their children.

And sometimes, if your child doesn't want to listen or obey, it's completely fine to threaten them with loss of their wealth, their security in this world they are not prepared whatsoever to handle. The act of threatening to throw your child to the wolves (or actually throwing them) because you want them to be safe but only by what you think as 'safe' and 'right' for them is such a contradictory, even self-deluding concept that I can't help but love so much to read about.

What I'm trying to say is, I hope there is plenty of family conflict, especially with a Rebellious MC but really, it probably would exist even with the most obeident or royal-minded MC.

I mean, when you're an heir to a monarchy and your life and image is controlled by your family, they *can* force MC to marry anyone lest MC gets punished for it. MC doesn't own their life as a royal, it's dedicated to the family. Can MC push against that? Yes, but still, that's a story arc that will be explored.

Thanks! MC has four siblings, two of them being twins. As heir, MC is the eldest and their country is quite small. Some things about the country will be customizable. A lot of the story is split between MC's country and foreign places like the Hamptons/Paris.

How they're percieved is entirely up to you. In the beginning of the story the country has a pretty positive view of the family. That can change, though.

There's more attention on MC as heir, plus they're in their twenties and that's when the media starts peering closer to MC's private life, especially when they go out.

I wanted to know if this IF is more Royal than celebrity centered.....like will royal duties and events be available and engaging?

Hi. It's a mixture of both! So MC will have royal duties to attend to but they are also a celebrity, so there will be charity events mixed with movie premieres mixed with official public keynotes mixed with magazine covers!
