i'm glad you're enjoying the game!

and to be honest, i'm not sure. real life is sucking up all my energy/time/creativity right now unfortunately 😔 i think if i can get an update out in the first half of the year that would be great but i'm also not going to burn myself out to hit a deadline i created myself.

short answer: yes.

long answer: i thought about this from a mechanics standpoint and i could write a platonic only route since i already have the romance and friend points separated within the coding. if you romance only a single LI then you can still develop a friendship with the other so i would be able to recycle bits of those scenes for a platonic route.

but eotm has been an exercise in editing myself and so just because i could doesn’t mean i should. to be honest, i don’t feel any passion or excitement when i think about writing a purely platonic route. i'm a romance writer and i don’t want to feel beholden to plot and write and develop and code a whole new route just because of other people’s expectations of the game. not to say that this is what you’re making me feel right now anon, just that i know myself and this is what would inevitably happen if i tried to shoehorn something into the story that i don’t absolutely love.

I love Eye of the Moon!! I may not be Filipino (hello from Myanmar!) but as a fellow Southeast Asian I felt like this was home, while still utterly fascinated and in awe with everything because!! Ohh the worldbuilding and the way you write...

who knows anon 😭 i don't want to assume ill intent but i do want people to think before they drop me messages and remember there's a real human on the other side of the screen that will have to interpret what they're trying tto say.

i never really see filipino mythology being discussed or filipino culture being talked about so as a filipino it makes me so so happy seeing more media about it^^

duma: preparing food/cooking; hiking (he loves a secluded spot with a view); sparring

tala: napping (she's either starfished in the sheets or super cuddled up there is no in between); swimming; sparring

I am so enamoured with Tala. I don't know how to explain it but when we first meet her in the game it felt like stars were manifesting in the air around me - everything was magical and weightless. She just creates this feeling of wonder and joy.

Incredible writing. Nostalgic world. Gorgeous characters. Thank you again - EOTM is food for the soul.
