Mainly I think that outrage the other anon had could be because I think since the start of this year the jikook tag has been full of bloggers who keep answering to hate asks and trolls when usually blogs have kept these out of the tags. Sure insecure jikookers are part of that bunch too, but those we always see. I also think the whole taekookers coming to jikook blogs to gloat and bully has increased, or at least the blogs who answer them have increased, idk. I've also seen some non shippers try to make others come to jikook blogs to bully us so that's another thing to consider. And as an older fan who has seen all the same conversations circle around again and again, it gets jarring sometimes when I see all of the things I mentioned in the jikook tag. But I understand it, new blogs are at the beginning of their cycle here so to speak and everything is new to you, information wise, discussion wise etc. Don't be discouraged though, we all go through being a new army and the excitement that brings. So you obviously can blog the way you want to and use the tags you want and answer the asks you want.
But if I can offer a few words of advice. If you include the ship name in the tag as it is, even in a longer sentence, that will still show in the ship name tags, so if you want to modify then maybe use a letter combination or something. Also, if you don't want other shippers in your inbox giving their opinions or bringing hate then I suggest not tagging their ships, even if it's just a post about the friendship the pair has. The same thing goes with other artists or groups, sometimes some opinions can bring you a load of hate even if you don't say anything wrong, if the post is seen by people who are sensitive about their faves.
But you do you and don't let the negativity bring you down.
This was so helpful. I really appreciate the insight--I didn't know about the ship name showing up in the tags unless you modify it. I also appreciate that you didn't just assume I'm trying to be a moron or an asshole. I'm mean, I probably am making faux pas, but at least not on purpose! :-)
