The anon-directory was created on May 8th 2011. The original idea was to father all the anons under one blog so finding one or another would be easy. For a month they had been without a directory and would just follow each other from conversations through the dash, in the end taemin-anon decided to make a page on his blog where he had gathered all the anons he knew of. However, in the end a close friend of the admin right now created this blog and when she left, she also left the directory in my hands.

Anon is short for anonymous, making all role-play accounts short for; Idolname-anonymous. The main idea why anons were created was that it was very famous and popular to get bias anons around the time. Taemin-anon was the one who created the anon world and gave it life. His idea was to create an idol that could visit tumblr blogs, no matter what type of blog they had. The only thing he needed was that they wanted an idol anon to role-play with. Some did not mind an anonymous asks from bias anons, but some were too embarrassed to post it and some might want more. So if they were too embarrassed to ask for a bias anon, they could just ask him to role-play with them in private. He then created taemin-anon and people seem to like the idea. Soon more idols came into the anon world and we got around 200 members within a month. It was the first open role-play on tumblr, where we could talk and role-play with anyone here on tumblr. Today, on June 30th 2013, we have decided to close down the directory. Through the years, more directories have popped up and, one by one, the anons had left us. Now only a minimum amount of role-players knew that an anon-directory ever excited. With a smile, we’re now saying good bye and the memories that we created were great. We’re just writing this to sum up some story about the anon-directory and the original idea behind it; hopefully we won’t be completely forgotten. And just so you all know, anon is not originally ours. It’s short for anonymous which means anyone on tumblr can use it.. All members in this directory were always independent. No one here is being forced to change their URL because the directory is now closed down, mainly because anon-directory was made to gather anons in one place. This is a final good bye from the first anon, Jiyong-anon, as well. Even though I deleted my blog many months ago, I kept this directory going. But now I’m tired, and was proven that the directory is no longer to any use. I have decided to close it down. What you anons want to do now is your choice, stay independent or move into a new directory. All I wish for is for you to keep enjoying role-play and gain even more friends, experience something new and have fun. Being an anon means you’re independent, it always has been.
