i am still so in love with koko’s little gestures. sanzu being so in the dark about the open secret everyone but those two are aware of.

what surprised me about this chap was how much i internally glossed over ishida’s comments about reader. relatable since there have been a few ishidas in a previous work environment and comments like his were one of those things that had to become white noise. i noticed that after ishida said that women like when you pay attention and say something nice about their appearance, the group did compliment her hair pin afterwards. i thought it was funny, the way that they were collectively annoyed by ishida’s comments but still ended up following his “advice” whether unintentionally or as a joke between themselves. i think I’ve rambled long enough. as always, you and your writing get so much love from me! <3

wow, thank you for your thoughts! 😳 honestly, ack, the ishida comments were kind of a pain to write ngl hahaha more cus i hate typing them out / having to read them over and over even though, surprisingly (or not surprisingly), it wasn't so hard to pull stuff like that out of memory from, you know, years and years of hearing similar shit.. and i get what you mean about that becoming white noise. i did think that if it were written from the Reader's pov it would more or less be written in the same way, like something she'd tune out and with not as much emphasis, but then it's a sanzu pov and i thought the way the amount of attention they'd put into hearing the same thing would be different, too, hehe. especially for sanzu who's already about ready to like, shoot the man on sight 👁👁 LOL.

and aaaAAAHHH okay, omg, sanzu (and co) complimenting her was one of my fav parts in the chapter tbh, so it makes me giddy that you picked up on that 😭😭. i guess in a way it's like to show that sanzu does pay attention, but not in the same manner that ishida does, or means (which is to ‘pay attention’ in order to get into a woman's pants hehe)

ran is more or less following suit, but i also imagine it’s like something that comes naturally to him, but also it’s like him trying to smooth-talk / distract her from thinking too much about their reactions.

in the end, though, her almost non-reaction doesn’t really say much; it’s more like a polite response than a like, ‘gosh, they complimented my hairpin’ -kind of reaction, like maybe she appreciates it but also it’s not everything, haha.
