I saw on your old blog that you don’t like cgl(re) but it’s a non kink coping mechanism for trauma victims who most of the time unwillingly age regress. Plenty of people confuse it w/ dd/lg but I was just wondering why you don’t like it?
Hey, I'm actually really glad you brought this up bc it gives me an opportunity to address some REALLY ableist rhetoric I was consuming on that blog about agere and cgl(re). To clarify; I've never actually had a problem with cgl(re) or any other non-sexual agere dynamic. I was misinformed and thought that cgl(re) was another term for dd/lg and that agere was the only term used for age regression. It was shortly before making this blog that I was corrected. This was mainly due to ppl putting cgl and dd/lg in DNI's together, and then refering to "agere" as safe and non-harmful. It was hard for me to differentiate and learning the words in the acronym didn't make a substantial enough difference for me to get it at the time.
I need everyone who sees this to understand what I'm about to say,
PLEASE properly research the terminology you're being told is problematic and actually gather a proper understanding of it before putting it in your DNIs/including it in "sexualizing minors" topics. Don't just throw it in because someone you trust had it in their DNI so that means it must be bad. The amount of times terminology used by the disabled community has been put under fire because someone made a snap judgement based on context clues is disappointing at best and actively harmful to our community.
Hey anon, could you lmk if it's in an official DNI or if it's just a post you saw? if its in the DNI I posted I def wanna log back in and change it.
