Adele inhaled and then furrowed her brows.
āWhen I came into your fatherās store. I never needed three quarters of the items I purchased.ā He shrugged.Ā āYou asked me to distract you.ā
With the discomfort of her last pain easing, she pondered his words.

āAnd even if I had, I could have sent a servant to make my purchases.ā
