some random annabeth headcanons i’ve had for ages now:
she plays softball. she’s actually pretty good, despite only playing on the school teams. she plays first base, and is one of the best hitters on the team
she can never find a matching pair of socks. ever. her dad finds it hilarious. he makes a point in getting her random socks every christmas that don’t have a partner, so she’s forced to wear mismatched socks every day
she likes coffee— all of it. iced coffee, black coffee, mochas, you name it. she’s a starbucks fiend. there’s one around the block from her dad’s house and the baristas know her order.
energy drinks, while horrible for her, are a weakness. during finals week, she’s seen chugging an entire can before class. percy doesn’t help because he loves them too, so whenever they’re together they buy some from the gas station
her music taste is all over the place. but she’s usually listening to indie, like beach house
she has reading glasses— thick-framed that always fall down her nose. she also misplaces them all the time. it drives everyone nuts, including herself
she is such a cat person. she loves them. she relates to them. she wants three cats, all big and fluffy. percy, an avid dog person, feels like he’s betraying his beliefs by dating a cat person
architecture is her thing, but she also loves psychology. she’s fascinated with how the brain works and what happens when the brain goes wrong
after tartarus, she keeps having nightmares, and her interest in psychology helps her realize she’s suffering from ptsd.
she and thalia have coffee at least once a month. they remain best friends, and eventually start calling each other sisters because they’re family, and nothing could ever change that
piper is her platonic soulmate. they discover this in the time between the lost hero and the mark of athena. they can practically read each other’s minds, are extremely in sync with each other’s emotions, and know exactly how to cheer each other up. leo and jason say they’re telepathically linked, and annabeth agrees
reyna is her pen pal, in a way. they write letters back and forth, talking about new rome and college and everything in between. they are so alike that it’s scary, and reyna becomes one of annabeth‘s best friends
despite what the books say, annabeth is not going to college in new rome. she knows that an imaginary degree will be worthless to her. she instead she attends columbia and double majors in psychology and architecture.
